Ayn Imperato is a Long Beach fiction and nonfiction writer. She writes edgy stories revealing experiences and characters on the fringe. Originally from San Francisco, she is the author of Dirty Money and Other Stories (Manic D Press), and her work was published in underground magazines--Razorcake, Maximum RNR, Punk Planet and The District--for over a decade. Her work has also appeared in Catapult, Rip Rap (CSULB), Punch and Pie (Gorsky Press) and Signs of Life (Manic D Press). Ayn has performed as a featured reader at numerous venues in San Francisco and Long Beach, including The Paradise Lounge, The Chameleon, Vermin on the Mount, Koo's Art Center and Viento Y Agua. She received her MFA in Creative Writing at California State University, Long Beach, during which her writing received the Isabelle McCaffrey Horn Scholarship award (CSULB).
